Build the capability people need for what comes next.

Woven West Consulting partners with organizations, schools, boards, and leaders to build human capability through leadership development, facilitated learning, practical strategy, responsible AI readiness, and programs that prepare people for what comes next.

Capability asks: Can I do this?
Readiness asks: Am I prepared for what is next?

Find your starting point

A clear path for people who are building what comes next.

The work is designed to be practical, accessible, and easy to navigate. Each lane leads to a conversation about readiness, capability, and the conditions people need to grow.

For Organizations

Support for manager readiness, team trust, competency activation, responsible AI use, and people-development systems.

For Schools

Programs that help students build self-awareness, confidence, communication, decision-making, and leadership identity.

For Leaders and Boards

Facilitated strategy conversations, leadership alignment, advisory support, and practical next-step planning.

How we work

Three ways to start.

Most engagements begin small and grow as the work proves itself. You should be able to see the shape of it before you commit.

What every engagement includes

  • A discovery conversation before anything is designed. No template arrives before I understand the context.
  • A written proposal with scope, timeline, and investment. You will know what you are agreeing to before you agree to it.
  • Practical materials you keep. Tools, guides, and language your people can use after the engagement ends.
  • A follow-up point. Development does not end at the last session. Every engagement includes a check on what actually changed.

Getting started is simple: Request a conversation. Then we move to discovery, followed by a written proposal with scope, timeline, and investment.

Meet Stephanie

For fifteen years I have built the systems that help people grow inside organizations that were changing faster than their people could absorb. I have designed manager development programs, activated competency models, built onboarding from the ground up, and facilitated the conversations that move leadership teams from stuck to decided.

I am a practitioner first. I have led learning strategy for a global manufacturer, built leadership curricula spanning frontline supervisors through senior leaders, taught critical thinking and AI to two hundred college students, and sat with nonprofit boards working out what their culture actually asks of them. The work looks different in every room. The question underneath it does not change: are these people ready for what is coming, and if not, what would make them ready?

Woven West is where that work continues. Based in Nashville.

I hold a BS in Management Information Systems from Tennessee State University and an MS in Organizational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. The systems degree is why I care whether a program is built to last. The leadership degree is why I care whether anyone actually uses it.

Rooms I have been asked into.

Unleash the Power of You: From Invitation to Inclusion

Regional Emerging Multicultural Leadership Experience, YMCA, 2024. A workshop for emerging leaders connecting inclusive behavior to retention, psychological safety, and team performance. Anchored to the organization's values, built on scenarios from their environment, and closed with a personal action plan naming barriers, support, and measures of success.

Board strategy session on culture and inclusion

Music City Youth in the Arts, 2022. Worked with the board to connect culture goals to organizational strategy, surface barriers, protect existing priorities, and build a sequenced plan the board could sustain rather than a set of one-time initiatives.

Leadership, AI, and career readiness

DevCon, Atlanta, 2025. A workshop for 200 students from HBCUs across the country, delivered through a corporate partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, on how to think critically, lead, and prepare for careers in an AI-shaped workplace. See the LinkedIn post

Available for conference sessions, leadership retreats, board development, youth programs, and team offsites on readiness, human capability, and responsible AI.

Selected work

What I have built inside organizations.

Fifteen years designing the systems that outlast the session. Client engagements are held in confidence.

An advanced program for people leaders across the enterprise, built as the next tier in an existing leadership curriculum. Focused on leading through constant change, building high-performing teams, and developing agility as a practiced skill.

Led a five-part enterprise learning strategy for a global manufacturing and supply chain organization

Spanning onboarding, leadership development, succession enablement, management system adoption, and learning effectiveness.

Built a three-tier leadership curriculum

A progressive pathway from frontline supervisor through senior leader, including a human-centered leadership initiative and a structured coaching model for managers.

Authored a $725,000 learning technology investment case

Business case, vendor evaluation, and adoption plan approved by executive leadership for a three-year platform replacement.

Responsible AI Readiness

Human capability in an AI-shaped world.

AI is changing how people work, learn, communicate, and make decisions. Woven West helps people prepare for that reality without losing the human work at the center.

Through practical facilitation, reflection, prompt practice, critical thinking, and leadership conversations, we help people use AI responsibly and thoughtfully, with privacy, security, and governance in mind, while strengthening judgment, communication, creativity, accountability, and trust.

For Organizations

Manager enablement, communication, workflow support, change readiness, privacy awareness, governance considerations, and responsible AI use.

For Schools

Student voice, critical thinking, digital judgment, and responsible AI conversations when aligned with school, district, or program guidance.

For Leaders

Judgment, ethical use, decision clarity, risk awareness, and human-centered decision-making in an AI-supported workplace.

From insight to behavior

Knowing is the start. Practicing is the bridge. Readiness is the evidence.

Woven West designs learning experiences with space for reflection, application, feedback, and follow-through so the work can continue after the session ends.

Development vs. Learning

Development is not an event.

Learning and development are connected, but they are not the same. Woven West designs experiences that move people from knowing something to practicing it, applying it, and becoming more ready for what comes next.

Learning answers: What do I know?

Learning introduces knowledge, language, concepts, tools, and understanding. It helps people name what matters and see what may need to change.

Development answers: Who am I becoming?

Development changes behavior over time. It requires practice, feedback, reflection, support, application, and an environment where growth can continue.

Awareness
People see themselves, the situation, and what is possible more clearly.
Practice
People use tools and try new behaviors in real situations.
Readiness
Capability becomes visible through confidence, behavior, and follow-through.
Conditions for growth

Growth lasts when the environment supports it.

Woven West centers human capability. That includes psychological safety, coaching, reflection, practice, movement, rest, social connection, and community. It is a practical way to design environments where people can learn, lead, and grow.

Psychological Safety

People need enough trust to speak, ask questions, practice, and learn from mistakes.

Coaching and Feedback

People grow when feedback is clear, specific, respectful, and connected to behavior.

Daily Human Conditions

Rest, movement, learning, reflection, and social connection all shape how people show up.

Consulting Methodology

THREAD helps turn ideas into practical systems.

THREAD is the Woven West consulting methodology used in advisory work, competency activation, Strategy Labs, and organization-wide development planning.

Translate. Hear. Reveal. Equip. Activate. Develop.

THREAD helps move the work from insight to action without losing the human context. It clarifies the need, listens to the people closest to the work, reveals patterns, equips people with practical tools, activates behavior change, and develops rhythms that help growth last.

The deeper design work happens through conversation, discovery, and co-creation.
